VinFast exports the first 999 electric vehicles to the US?
After a long journey of accompanying customers all over Vietnam, VinFast has officially exported 999 VF8 smart electric cars to the international market. The event is an important milestone marking the great progress of Vietnam’s car industry.

Vietnam really exports the first batch of electric vehicles (EVs)?
All doubts were clear when VinFast held an electric vehicle export ceremony in Hai Phong on Friday, November 25, 2022.
That day at MPC Port (Hai An District, Hai Phong City), Silver Queen – a 11,000-ton vehicle carrier with a capacity of up to 4,500 cars is moored. Next to it are 999 VinFast VF 8 cars waiting to board.
A historical moment: 999 Vietnamese EVs officially exported
The event marked a big turning point in the car industry in Vietnam when for the first time, technology cars owned and manufactured by Vietnam could approach the international market. VinFast has become the first Vietnamese automaker to export electric vehicles to the US market.

Nguyen Viet Quang, Vice Chairman and General Director of Vingroup, spoke at the ceremony, affirming that this event is a historic milestone not only for the corperation but also for the country.

After the export ceremony, 999 VF8 cars officially left MCP Port at dawn on November 28, 2022. As expected, the first VF8 batch will dock at the port of California and be delivered to customers at the end of December.

VinFast Recieved Over 65,000 International Orders
In 2023, VinFast will continue to export VF 8 to the Canadian and European markets.
Currently, VinFast electric vehicles in the Vietnamese market includes VF e34, VF 8 and soon VF 9. Meanwhile, other models such as VF5, VF 6, VF 7 (same e34 segment) will be added in the international market. VinFast also announced that they have received 65,000 international orders for the VF 8 and VF 9 models.
On November 16, VinFast also opened the first store called VinFast Yorkdale in a chain of 8 stores in Canada.

After the signing event of a Memorandum of Understanding on Global Strategic Cooperation between VinFast and CATL in CTC battery-integrated smart chassis technology for electric vehicle products at the end of October this year, VinFast’s push to strengthen the market of electric vehicles in the Americas and Europe are considered a good sign affirming the brand attraction, product quality and customer interest in VinFast electric cars.
