Updates of Aqua City: No. 2 Route & Vam Cai Sut Bridge
Aqua City is located in Long Hung commune, Bien Hoa, Dong Nai, developed by Novaland on a large scale, taking the lead in the key infrastructure connection package in the development planning of Long Hung Open Economic Zone: No. 2 Route and Vam Cai Sut bridge, “awakening” the socio-economic development for the Dong Nai riverside area.
The construction of Vam Cai Sut bridge will create conditions for the completion of No.2 Route in the near future. No. 2 Route is the route connecting the Bien Hoa City with Ho Chi Minh City – Long Thanh – Dau Giay expressway. Therefore, traffic can travel along this route to go from Dong Nai to Ho Chi Minh City, shorten the distance and travel time. At the same time, this new connection route will also contribute to reducing the traffic load on National Highway 51.
However, what is the progress of Vam Cai Sut bridge and No.2 Route?

Recently, the delegation of Dong Nai Provincial Party Committee led by Mr. Ho Thanh Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, had a meeting to check the progress of two key projects in the Bien Hoa city includes: the project of No. 2 Route and Vam Cai Sut bridge (in An Hoa ward and Long Hung commune).
According to research, the progress of this project is slower than the plan. Although affected by the 3-month period of isolation for epidemic prevention and control in 2021, after more than 1 year of construction, No. 2 Route has only completed about 20% of the construction volume and Vam Cai Sut Bridge has only reached more than 50%, which is lower than the original plan.
These two projects have started construction since 2020, but until now, the site clearance work has not been completed. In particular, the No. 2 Route Construction project continuously fell into a state of inactive construction due to lack of site clearance.
Regarding the ground clearance work, the City People’s Committee of Bien Hoa has directed the Land Fund Development Center of Bien Hoa city, the wards and communes with the route going through to speed up the clearance and compensation work and hand over the site to the construction unit. In some cases, Mr. Ho Thanh Son, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, asked the leaders of the Bien Hoa city to review the regulations and resolutely handled it soon in accordance with current regulations, striving by the end of 2022, this project must be completed and put into use.
Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee Cao Tien Dung said Vam Cai Sut bridge is a key project of the province to welcome the 11th Provincial Party Congress (term of 2020 – 2025). The construction of Vam Cai Sut bridge on No. 2 Route will contribute to completing the transport system in the area, creating a premise for socio-economic development.
According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Bao, Chairman of Vietnam Real Estate Club, Dong Nai will develop very strongly in the next 5-10 years, especially thanks to the Long Thanh airport. “The real estate businesses of the country as well as Ho Chi Minh City considers Dong Nai a place worth investing because the current land price is low. In the next 5-10 years, the supply chain to Vietnam and especially in Dong Nai will be very developed thanks to Long Thanh airport, the river and sea ports”, said Mr. Bao.
The new investment trend is ecological urban areas, taking advantage of the natural landscape combined with a chain of modern utilities. Architect Khuong Nguyen Duc Chuong, Chairman of Dong Nai Young Architects Club, said that eco-urban areas have the advantage of spacious infrastructure, high density of trees and low construction density. “Therefore, the living environment will be better and the natural landscape will be more beautiful and richer,” said architect Chuong.
In Dong Nai, this type of investment is concentrated in the southern area of Bien Hoa city, which has a large land bank and serves well the housing demand that is very “hot” in the city center. In particular, the eco-urban development here will be more convenient when connecting traffic projects are completed, helping the move from Bien Hoa city to Ho Chi Minh city become favorable.
