Le Thi Tuyet Tran (Grace Le) is a Real Estate Broker at Realtique Vietnam Real Estate. Despite being introverted, she always knows how to listen, have deep thoughts, and do things meticulously. It’s easy to hear colleagues or clients who have collaborated with Tran talk about her with words like enthusiastic, dedicated, and wholehearted. And that has helped her establish quality relationships with clients. This is also something that most Real Estate Brokers, in particular, and many salespeople in other fields aspire to.

Can An Introvert Excel In Sales?

Usually, people often say that the sales profession is suitable for extroverted individuals because it requires strong communication skills and the ability to persuade customers. However, introverted individuals also have their own strengths. Once they know how to leverage them, introverts can become outstanding sales professionals.

Tran shared, “As an introverted person, when I first entered the sales profession, especially in the real estate industry, people were quite surprised that I chose this career.” It seemed that everything would be challenging, but she never stopped putting in effort for 5 years and achieved good results in the real estate field. Through this experience, Tran realized that her introverted nature was also a factor that helped her achieve certain values. Among them, perhaps what she appreciates the most since she started this career is the quality relationships she has built with customers.

Some Experiences When Starting In The Real Estate Broker

Tran also shared, “In the first three months of entering the profession, I didn’t close any deals despite the favorable market conditions in 2017-2018. During that time, I felt immense pressure as my colleagues were closing deals. However, with relentless effort in learning, listening, and daily striving, I managed to secure a rental deal worth around 10 million Vietnamese Dong. Although this amount may seem small, it held great significance for me and served as a stepping stone for closing more deals.”

Despite being an introverted person, Tran’s strengths in focus, listening, and analyzing customer needs have helped her achieve well-deserved rewards for her hard work.

Dedication & Commitment – Key Factors In Building Quality Relationships

For a professional salesperson, building quality relationships with customers is always a top priority. To achieve this, salespeople need to equip themselves with necessary skills, including listening, honesty, support, and most importantly, dedication and enthusiasm – qualities that help attract and retain customers.

In addition, Tran also shared a personal story from her work experience: “By chance, I contacted a landlord who wanted to rent a 4-bedroom apartment at Estella Heights, and at that time, I also had a client who was interested. It seemed like fate as both the landlord and the tenant were from South Korea. For Korean clients, insects are a significant concern when moving to a tropical country. Therefore, the landlord contacted a company to install mosquito screens on the balcony, but they quoted 23 million Vietnamese Dong. This price was not suitable, so Tran made an effort to find a quality supplier at a price of 15 million Dong and assisted in taking photos and videos of the mosquito screens to send to the landlord. It was perhaps due to the attention to detail regarding the mosquito screens that the landlord felt Tran’s dedication, which resulted in an enduring relationship. The landlord continues to refer friends who are interested in Vietnam’s real estate to Tran. Moreover, when the tenant returned to Vietnam, they contacted Tran again for assistance in finding a suitable apartment.”

Through this story, Tran realized that it was her professionalism and wholehearted dedication that led to the synergistic outcomes she experiences today. It’s about building long-term relationships with landlords, tenants, the friends of clients, and even the friends of friends.

Furthermore, she also added, “Good things that happen today are the return of what you have been giving before. So just work hard and believe that good things are on the way.”.
