Vietnam XIII Party Congress Kicks Off New Development Era
General Secretary, State President Nguyen Phu Trong, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and Standing Secretariat Tran Quoc Vuong at the preparatory session of the XIII Congress, morning 25/1
The Vietnam XIII Party Congress is convened from 25th January to 2nd February in Hanoi with the preparatory session on 25th January and officially starts at 8 A.M on 26th January.
Over a working week, delegates will discuss and endorse the draft Act based on political reports, summarizing the 10-year socio-economic development strategy in 2011-2020, building the strategy for the period 2021-2030; evaluating the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development missions for the 5 years 2016-2020 and the directions and missions for 2021-2025; reporting on the construction and implementation of the Party from the XII term; reviewing the leadership and direction of the XII one; electing the Central Executive Committee for XIII term (2021-2026).
This Congress takes place in the context over nearly 35 years of the Renovation, Vietnam has achieved great achievements with historical significance. The scale and level of economic development have been significantly raised. The life quality of its citizens both material and spiritual has been markedly improved. Foreign relations and international integration are increasingly expanding and deepening.

Restless on the Phan Thiet – Dau Giay Expressway

According to the Ministry of Transport, this project has a length of about 99km, of which the Dong Nai area is 51.5km long. In phase 1, the project is built on a 4-lane scale with a total investment of more than 12,577 billion VND, of which the construction cost is more than 7,200 billion VND.
Talking to Tuoi Tre Online, Mr. Nguyen Hoang Hai – Director of the Executive Board of Package XL03 (Joint Venture of Vinaconex – Trung Chinh Contractors) said that the construction time is 24 months, so the progress is very stressful. Therefore, the management board has arranged 5 deputy directors to be in charge of the construction stages and ensure the progress.
According to Mr. Hai, after nearly 3 months from the start, the contractors mobilize equipment, machinery and personnel exceeding the target of the bidding. Every day, the units arrange nearly 20 construction sites with a team of engineers more than 100 people divided into 3 shifts for construction on the handed over sites.

Thu Duc Government Officially Operates
The People’s Committee office of District 2 (No. 168 Truong Van Bang, Thanh My Loi ward) is expected to be the workplace of the People’s Committee – Thu Duc City
The establishment of Thu Duc city is expected to lighten the state apparatus and promote local socio-economic development resources. The new city is expected to contribute 30% of the gross domestic product (GRDP) of HCMC and 7% of the gross domestic product (GDP) of the country. This is also expected to be a new growth engine for the city and the southern key economic region.

Thu Thiem 4 Bridge Proposed for Investment from 2021
Thu Thiem 4 Bridge connects District 2 and District 7
According to the HCM City Department of Transport, this investment planning is to ensure the progress of implementing key projects in the period of 2021-2025. Preparatory work, including investment policy formulation, project proposal formulation, needs more than 24,000 billion VND. In which, projects implementation needs 7,000 billion VND, projects calling for investment need 17,000 billion VND.
Thu Thiem 4 Bridge (District 7, 2), requires an investment of 5,300 billion VND, is “key and urgent”. Priority should be given to allocating capital in 2021 to speed up the preparation.
